FurCred
A members-only community

Trade nights of pet care with people you’d trust with your home.

FurCred is a quiet, verified network of pet owners who sit for each other. You start with five credits — one credit, one night. Earn more by hosting. Spend them when you travel. No money changes hands.

Government-ID verified · Phone confirmed · References from real bookings
The simplest possible exchange

One credit. One night. One member at a time.

The credit system removes the parts of pet sitting that have always been awkward — money, contracts, strangers. What remains is a community of pet owners helping pet owners.

01

Five credits to start

Every verified member receives five credits on joining. One credit is one night of pet sitting. That is enough for a long weekend before you ever host.

02

Find a host you trust

Browse verified members in your city. Read about their home, their pets, the way they live. Message before you commit — the same way you would meet a neighbour.

03

Return the kindness

When a member needs a sitter, you host. They pay you in credits, not cash. The exchange is balanced because the currency only works inside the community.

Why members trust each other

The hardest thing about pet sitting has never been the sitting.

It is the not-knowing. Of whether the person on the other end is who they say they are. Of whether they will show up. Of what happens at three in the morning when something goes wrong.

We have spent more time on the answers to those questions than on anything else.

  • Government-ID verified

Every member completes Stripe Identity verification. We confirm a real person stands behind the profile before they ever host.

  • Phone confirmed

A number we can reach — and that the host can reach you on — is required before a booking begins.

  • References that came from real care

Reviews are written only by members who have actually hosted or stayed. We do not allow profiles without a stay history to leave one.

  • Small by design

We open cities only when there are enough verified members to make matches feel local. Density before scale.

  • An emergency contact on every profile

Each member adds someone we can reach if the unexpected happens — a partner, a neighbour, a parent. Bookings come with a name and a number, not just an app.

  • No-money guarantee

Because credits cannot be sold or bought, there is no financial incentive to over-promise. People host because they want to.

We open cities slowly

Three cities, this year. Each one waiting for enough neighbours.

We unlock a city only when it has the density to make matches feel like the next street over, not the next county. Until then, the waitlist is open.

Questions, answered

The kind of things you would ask a friend.

How is FurCred different from Rover or Wag?
Rover is a marketplace where sitters set a nightly rate and you pay them. FurCred is a community where members sit for each other and trade credits. No money changes hands, which removes the dynamic of paying for care and brings back the dynamic of asking a friend.
What if I never want to host?
Then FurCred is not for you, and we mean that kindly. The five starting credits cover roughly one trip. After that, the only way to earn more is to host. The economics are deliberately balanced.
How do you verify members?
Every member confirms their email and phone, and completes Stripe Identity verification — the same provider used by Airbnb, Lyft, and most modern fintech. ID photos are not stored by us. We only see the verified result.
What happens if a sit goes wrong?
Every member supplies an emergency contact when they join, and every booking surfaces both parties’ phone numbers from the moment it’s accepted. You can also report a member or escalate a booking to the FurCred team in-app, and a person — not a chatbot — reviews reports.
Can I bring my pet to a host’s home, or do they come to mine?
Either. Some members prefer the comfort of their pet staying home; others prefer hosting. You set your preference and it is shown on your profile.
When will my city open?
When enough verified members are on the waitlist to make matches feel local. For Berlin and London the target is around 500 to 750 members; for Dublin, smaller. We will email you the moment your city opens.
